Admin should be updating, as well as teachers. Carry cameras around. Website a blog. Constant change. Archives.
Calendar - constant update of events. Sync to web.
Google analytics - monitors traffic to your site. Data. Teachers buy in when they see the visits.
Blogs rather than newsletters.
